Famous Ford Mustang From ‘Menace II Society’ Is Apparently Up for Sale
Foxbody left as big an impression on ’90s kids as the acclaimed movie Menace II Society did on critics.
The Ford Mustang has appeared in many TV shows and movies throughout its illustrious history, with more notable roles coming from flicks like Bullitt and Gone in 60 Seconds. But many of us that grew up in the 1990s also remember the slick green Foxbody Mustang GT convertible from Menace II Society. That memorable, critically acclaimed film did an amazing job of giving us an accurate depiction of urban violence, as well as just being one of the coolest (and most underrated) movie cars ever.
The Foxbody plays an important role in Menace II Society as well, as it’s driven by the main character – Kaydee “Caine” Lawson – played by actor Tyrin Turner. In one of the more memorable scenes in the movie, Lawson carjacks another Mustang to nab those sweet, gold wire wheels for his own ride, which both completes the package and shows us just how brutal life can be in certain parts of the country.
Amazingly enough, Turner kept this special Mustang and still owns it today, though it looks like he’s now thinking about parting ways with it. He’s posted about it twice on Instagram recently, starting with a video walkaround of the car that shows off its amazing condition. Inside and out, this GT is in impeccable shape. That’s often not the case with movie cars, which usually feature poor build quality and oftentimes wind up in the scrap yard.

At first, Turner notes that he’s selling the car to the highest bidder, but doesn’t name a price. Then, in a subsequent post, he says that bids will start at $50,000, which is a pretty lofty number for a Fox. But then again, this is no ordinary Fox. We’re not 100% sure if anyone has actually made a serious bid to buy this piece of movie history yet, but Tuner will be autographing the car for the new owner, which is a nice touch.

Given the immense reaction these posts have stirred up and the universal love enthusiasts have for this famous pony car, we wouldn’t be surprised to see it find a new owner soon. With any luck, they’ll keep it in pristine condition, just as Turner has all these years.
