Got the call about 10am this morning, out the door in a flash. The assistant sales manager (Bob) at this dealer is great, as was the salesman and the the Internet manager. There are others who leave a lot to be desired and if not for Bob I would look elsewhere in the future, I guess there is good and bad everywhere. Overall things went well there I am happy.
Was I happy getting the call .. YES! Was the car worth the wait ..Hell Yes! Did it really take all that long .. no not really. Could Ford do a better job at customer service and keep people informed better about their car .. absolutely. Nuff said, I am kinda over talking about it.
When I arrived they did as I asked and did not touch it or remove anything. The car was in the service bay and I asked the mechanic if he would drop the discs, he said OK so I started it and it was very tame, just wanted to hear it with the discs in before I removed them. The hole was 5/16 in it!!! What a difference after more to follow.
I said it to some of you in a PM and sure enough the car was driven at the factory. Only 16 miles, so that is fine, it was tested by experts and not too many miles. I bought an Expedition that arrived with 370 miles on it.
Got to meet a fellow member here with a LS on order, nice guy. Another person shot up from Palm Beach to see the car before it was gone.

Car when to the cleaning area. I just had them wash it off as I wanted to do the rest myself, hey it is a Boss. I had the truck fully preped but I would rather do things on the Boss myself, not that they were bad or anything like that.
The owner came out and told me he heard that the plant will be shut down again for 1-2 months. He said he heard this from Ford because of several parts are made in Japan. One part that was being made in a factory close to the reactor that is in trouble. Don't know how true it is but I thought I would pass it on.

Once it was cleaned up it looked good. I wish it was bright yellow but the color looks great against the black. The only really down side to it is a little gold look in certain lights. Overall I am pleased and after all it is the fastest color, I doubt anyone could argue that point!!
That is why they picked it to test drive.
After getting done with all the paperwork I went to the gas station with my salesman. Car had no power. It had 20 miles on it so I was a bit worried but figured they reset the computer for the train ride. After that I took the internet manager out for a ride. Held it to the floor and I was just keeping up with a mini van out front. Anyway we only went about 2 or 3 miles, where I did a U-turn back to the dealer. As soon as I made the turn and stepped hard on it, it just took off. So I guess they did reset it for the trip. The car came alive just like that, whole new ballgame.

Wow. I really like YB in those pics. Makes me want to reconsider waiting for a GB in 2013. Maybe I should try the YB in 2013 instead? Choices choices. I'm so glad to be an American!
That's gorgeous and it's also the only color combo I would have wanted besides Grabber Blue.
Hmmm, if I kick out the fiancee..cancel the new house contract.... I could get one!!

All done with that I headed out alone. One thing is for sure this car wants to be driven!!! It is hard not to get into it, you don't want to shift, unlike everything else I have driven lately. You want to stay in the lowest gear possible and let it rev.
Now for those that want a shaker in the car or sync, I'm glad it does not have it. I want to drive the car no talk on the phone and in fact not sure the radio even works because I did not turn it on. The car makes it's own music, better then anything I ever hear on a radio.
The sound is great, not too loud and not too soft. I think the over 40 crowd will love the way it sounds. Enough to make the people around you notice but not hey look at me from a mile away how cool am I. Maybe when I was younger I would like more but anything else would take away from the car and just not sound correct - that is best I can describe it. It sounds mean and right, I don't want a rice burner 1.0L with a 15 inch round tail pipe sound at all. To me sometimes it is not better to go to the extreme. I do not mean this in any insulting way to others that may want something different, it is my opinion only to each his own, just saying the older guys will like it just the way it is.
I did not get out on a highway but I can hear the car just fine on other roads and I passed islands on US 1 the sound echoing back was beautiful. I keep trying to force third gear and would miss it every time. I need to learn to let it just slide in. I have not driven a performance stick for some time.
I did not get the heart pounding, legs shaking feeling I thought I would. Not to say it is all I expected and more, I guess it just feels under control even with the power. I was at a light and first car in line, so I punched it off the line without spinning the tires, went to second and then third but let off it. right then I pass a cop car sitting in the left turn lane on the other side of the road, good thing I let off and was slowing but still was at 60 in a 45.
I hope I can keep my license until the "newness" wears off. Like I said, I just don't want to shift and the car really wants to be driven hard. Got a chance to punch it around a S bend. The car does not roll at all and you hardly feel like you are in a turn. I stayed right in the center of the seat. Can't wait to get out on a track.
Look at the temp plate, guess I will have to name her "Amy"

Looks Great !!
Beautiful car !! Sometimes YB looks yellow to me, other times sort of a goldish-orange color. These might be the best pics yet I've seen.
I have a YB Boss on order, can't wait 'til mine gets here !! Probably be awhile though...

I think that's a great writeup Scott. I too was amazed at how it handles when cornering. I really feel a lot like driving a Corvette. It's like the stance is broad and flat. No body roll to speak of so far. It will be more telling when we get it on track to see if it holds up like it does on the street.
Going to post a few more pics to show the yellow blaze in different light.
A few side notes. I had a normal non key-flob attached key cut and it works fine. Will most likely use that for driving and see if I can program that as the track key. Just what I am use to, I like the flob separate. Anyway it answers some of the questions I had.
The black roof looks like a "glass roof car". I will be changing that for sure. I think the car will look great with the new deck lid, spoiler and louvers.
The pained hood latch is poorly done, one of the few things I can complain about. It looks 10 years old already.
The splitter is pretty low, lower then I expected. Be careful in the parking lots.

I had a few pics in the paring lot but the will not upload, shows the height next to the concrete thingies

Getting better gas mileage then I thought I would get
This is an average I think from the factory also so I am guessing they drove it hard also.
