It sounds like an automatic only issue to me. I'll wait and see how it plays out.

 

Yea considering neither the Lincoln or F-150s come with Manual transmissions its an auto issue.

the last line applies to manual as well, its not just R not displaying.. I copied the original and it was in caps lock on safecar.gov..

so even in a manual, people might not see ur white reverse lights come on and u could back into them

Same tranny in the F150??? - My pops had an issue and the BIOS was updated and now he wants it back to the original! He says the flash makes it shift too hard, but the old one didn't downshift as fast.

 

Oh crap, I may get a double recall. F150, and a Stang. Oh well, long as they fix it all will be fine.

 

While I see where your going with this, but no it doesn't. Its an issue with the wiring/switches in the Auto cars. That doesn't mean that line refers to manuals as well.
