Update, suspension in, with PICS, Eibach Pro-System-Plus-Kit (springs, dampers, sway bars), lowers front approx. 1", lowers rear approx. 1.5", handles so much better, floatiness is gone, body roll is gone, check out the improved stance and those heavy-duty sway-bar mounts - can't wait until my next track day:

I'm waiting for my Mustang to be built. I don't know much about them, but I love the car. On a test drive in an auto with Brembos, I noticed the floatiness you described. From a dead stop when I punched it the front end of the body slipped side to side until a sec later it stabilized. Under normal daily driving conditions the stock suspension worked pretty well, other times it felt like the car was side shifting from the weight and I had less control. It sounds as though the Eibach cures most of this, but I'm interested to know how your new suspension deals with common daily driving. There is definitely a cloud-like feel that the stock has that's pretty comfortable. I'm sure you have a stiffer ride now. Do you miss anything from the stock suspension, or does the Eibach make you not even look back? Also, where do you recommend purchasing from? Thanks for your time.

Hi David. I think Ford did a remarkable job with the stock set-up, very comfortable, but still sporty. On my first track day in March of this year, the stock set-up was over-matched. Too floaty, too much body roll, and too much brake dive. I looked and read up on suspension improvements. My budget was $1000 + around $300 install/alignment. I wanted a full kit designed to work together, springs, dampers, sway bars. And I wanted Daily Driver ride quality. Eibach seems to accomplish all of this. (Ford Racing offers a similar handling kit, but it's about $400 more. ) Now that it's installed, it is confirmed, the entire set-up is a winner. Ride is a little stiffer, and you feel some road inperfections that were made invisible by the stock set-up. But the overall handling improvement is incredible. I'm stoked to get it on the track real soon! As for where to buy, I would suggest going to Eibach's website and look for retailers. I used my local Ford dealer for the install, since they do performance upgrades all the time. One catch, I purchased from Tire Rack, see my full story on this thread:

Thanks so much for the great info. I found the Roush, Ford Racing and Koni setups as well. The Rouch claims to require usage of their wheels. That's a high price. It seems to me that all the kits do more or less the same job. I realize Rouch is track rich, so it's not apples to apples. Regardless, it seems like you've struck a nice real world balance when weighing costs. I'd be perfectly happy with the ride quality you described. I also like the idea of Ford handling the install given that my car would be under warranty. If they blow the job, Ford knows who did the work...they're responsible (in theory anyways). They are all good but the set up I suggested I think is the more common one. If you don't track your car the Koni strt's are great and a few hundred less. Same with sways, if not tracking stock set-up is fine for DD

That looks flat-out awesome. It's hard to beat the CDC chin spoiler plus GT500 rear spoiler, plus lowering! After looking at your pics I am beginning to think about those 19" nickel luster wheels....

My first thought after installing my Steeda Ultralites and Konis was, "I have to take this thing to the TRACK!"

Hey Eric, thanks, I love the look of the 19" nickel wheel too. But...I wish it was wider. It is 8.5", with 255 tires. I would rather have 9.0" or 9.5" with 265 or 275 tires. But I do think it is a great looking wheel, and I do get asked about them a lot. BTW, your Grabber Blue looks awesome also! You helped me a lot with the rear wing and chin spoiler, thanks!

Thanks, guys! In case I forget to mention (or if I have forgive me)...with this Eibach set-up, (as far as I know) I DON'T NEED additional new:
* camber plates
* strut mounts
* rear adj. panhard bar
And since I'm a cheap S.O.B., I like not having that extra $ expense!
