dyno tune?

Thinking about finally getting a CAI and a tune but my buddy with an 01 cobra keeps throwing in his 2 cents saying i should get a dyno tune over a mail order tune. From what i see on this site everyone just gets a tuner and gets one of the many free ones and they are happy... and by the sounds of it the dyno tune will be a bit more expensive... any thoughts before i drop the cash?

If all you're doing for now is a CAI and tune, mail order will be fine. Go with a SCT tuner since most custom tuners use SCT software. As you go with more mods you already have the tuner so it can always be reflashed or dyno tuned with it.

I agree with Al, while I'm not a huge fan of mail order tunes you do not have enough mods for dyno tune. If you really dug into the motor the I would lean more to the dyno tune at a quality shop.

I have the steeda 93 tune and their cai. I couldn't be happier. I installed it at 1,000 miles and now have over 11,000. Very safe, reliable, haul ***, tune.
