spark plug change
Anyone ever chaged the plugs on a new edge GT? I tried to today, and you can't get to the **** third one back on the passenger side. There's a fuel line directly over the top of where you need the socket to go.
Do I have to take off the fuel line or no?

I ended up moving the fuel rails anyway, but I did need a swivel for the rearmost spark plug. The drivers side went on in 15 minutes!

You don't have to remove the fuel rails, just gotta have the right extenstions and swivel. Also a piece of rubber fuel line to put your new spark plug in with, basically sticking it in and getting the threads started is a wonder. Also you'll want a socket that doesnt have rubber in it to tighten up the plug. I always had the issue with my socket coming off the end of the extenstion down in the plug hole due to teh rubber torquing down with teh plug.

Oy, glad I never had to tackle this one. My '03 GT recently hit 70k miles and developed a nasty ignition miss. While at the dealer getting cured (one coil pack went south) I had them change all the plugs...better them than me on that job!
I always did my own tuneups on all my old 5.0's and there was really only one plug access problem with them. All the plugs on the 4.6's look like a nightmare to me.
