So i went to pick up the springs, and the guy said they were for a convertible, after a quick conversation with american muscle tech support, i passed on them. I went ahead and ordered the ford c springs, thats what the tech guy had on his car. all in all still excited!

Got bored today and painted my calipers and brackets. Brackets black, and calipers light gray, used high temp engine enamel. Just wanted to clean the old rusty ones up and not make them an obnoxious red (no offence). Here's some before and after pictures. They look good behind the anthracite Bullitts. Sorry the spoke is in the way! To lazy to move the car..

Looks good. I have to agree on the red, it looks great, but so many people have them. I think you made a good call on the color

Springs are on hold. car decided to take a sh*t on me today. It idled at 2500 and wouldn't drop lower than 1500. I couldn't find anything wrong, so i dropped it off at the shop

Check your idle air control valve. Or a big vaccuum leak.

Most likely a vacuum leak.

Alright, long story short.. I cleaned the iac, throttle body, and plenum. They were really thick with carbon build up..

Sealed everything up with "make a gasket" and thread locked everything and tightened everything down correctly. Started it up idled really high, like 2500 rpm, couldn't find the problem for the life of me, so i went and dropped it off at the mechanics. They didnt get around to checking it till mid day today, but when they did, they couldnt replicate the symtoms, it ran perfectly smooth right at 750 rpm. When i explained to the mechanic that i had cleaned the throttle body and plenum he said it was most likely the excess carb cleaner that was burning off and that the gaskets hadnt fully set. Well needless to say, i have a perfectly health stang. oh and no vacuum leaks

Alright, ordered a set of J&M lca's, and some polyurethane spring isolators. Ive realllll gotten sick of the squeaky bushings on the factory lcas and the "clunking" from installing lowering springs without isolators!!

Alright, even though this thread isn't getting much attention, i still feel obliged to update y'all on my progress.

I installed my J&M lower control arms, led 3rd brake light, and OE taillights today.
Everything was a breeze and i didn't really have any problems with the lower control arms, my real problem is when it came down to the LED 3rd brake light... I have read horror stories of them not working, not fitting and requiring soldering.. I am here to tell yall that is NOT the case, all that was needed to be done to get them to work was take a large flat head screw driver and put it in the stock wiring harness and twist it back and forth slightly, all with it disconnected of course.. Press each LED plug into the harness firmly and they should snap in.
I also realized latemodelrestoration is located 100 miles away from me! so i literally get my parts in 1 business day! Woop! still haven't received my fog lights from AM, i actually don't think they have shipped yet..

Have you noticed much of a difference with having the LCA's? Just curious.

BTW, PM one of the mods and get your title changed and it may help getting some interest.
