Looks an awful lot like a Fays2 Watts link. Curved arm maybe to clear bracing on the convertibles? Oddly, not marked up over standard retail. Seems a bit odd for a 'Shelby' part.

Yes, looks like a FAYS 2 part indeed. No price mark up? Not bad, for once.

That definitely is a Fays, but very surprised at the pricing as the convertible set-up normally is $30 more than the coupe.

Here's the pricing right from the Fays webite:

For the cost of that car, I'd expect nothing less.

Hmm spend $650 on a Fays2 kit or $8000 for a Control Freak Independent Rear Suspension

If we're talking THOUSANDS of dollars, I'd much rather have a track-proven rear SRA setup from Griggs (at almost half the price) than an unproven IRS from a hot-rod company.

This is nothing new for Shelby, most of "their" parts are rebranded from one company or another, with extra costs for that all important label. I'd be surprised if they actually 'manufacture' anything (other than my hamfisted rear axle catch can).

That said, the Fays2 is great, and if you want a Shelby on it for not much more than original price, more power to you.

Been interested in the Watts setup for awhile. Griggs full gear is a little too extreme for me.

Feedback on the Fays2 has always looked solid.

I'm a Fays2 dealer. And in fact have a special on the Watts links... $650 with free shipping. http://www.stranoparts.com/partdetai...=209&ModelID=5

Shelby is great at rebranding things. In fact a quick look at their suspension parts shows Eibach parts, BMR parts, Maximum Motorsports parts, nothing I see they actually make themselves. I know this too, they wanted a set of my swaybar links and liked them--but I wasn't cheap enough so they didn't use them. In fact once I gave them the price, I never heard back. Classy.

Meanwhile they use my name to hype their cars. They got a lot of the details wrong. And what I'm driving isn't what they are using my name in the brochures to sell. And of course no mention of the fact while I was in a Shelby GT, it wasn't bone stock (I change some things on them setup wise). And this was a prime reason I bought a 2011 GT (and won with it this year, beating all the Shelbys at the same time).

I have run the Fays2 on two cars. I have one on my Camaro still (sold my '07 GT that had it installed). Will have one on my 2011 over the winter ready for next season since I'm changing classes where I'm allowed to run it.

That I can't personally tell you... I've never tried it and covers aren't a legal mod for the classes I race (hence the reason I never tried it.

Here's Jim's reply:

The "low profile" version of the diff cover will work fine with our low profile bolt kit

Thanks,

Here's more:

$5 extra for the bolt kit. Yes, that is the cover.

Thanks again,
