Having work done in Washington State

I have 3:73 gears, a saleen supercharger, and Hot rod cams i need installed. When i check a shop for the gears and the cams and all...they wanted. 650 for the gears installed, 850 for the supercharger, and 850 for the cams. I can see paying that much for the supercharger...but not the cams. It doesnt seem like it should cost the same. Also i have read and heard people installing the gears around 300-350...not 650. That seems so unreasonable...has anyone on here had any work done in washington state...and does anyone have any suggestions

Blue Oval or All Ford Performance in Vancouver are reputable shops. Gear pricing seems to be in the $400 range for install. I remember the cams being an expensive install also but after seeing the process, I really wouldn't want to do it anyway.

Here's a short list of shops in Western Washington that a) I've had great experiences with, or b) I've heard good things about....

Brad's Custom Auto in Seattle
Bickford Ford in Snohomish
Bowen Scarff Ford in Kent
The Mustang Shop in Auburn
Blood Enterprises in Auburn

Each is a little bit of a drive from Lacey, but worth the drive!

I have had all my work done at Blood Enterprises and they are currently building a twin turbo motor for me. Highly recommend but they are a little more expensive depending on what it is. My motto is you get what you pay for. They have always backed what they have done and fixed anything i didn't like or seemed right.

Owner, Craig Blood, is a good guy. I went to high school with him and he used to turn wrenches on my hot rods back in the early '80's when he worked for Tom Turner's Performance Prep in Federal Way.

I've had Blood Enterprises do a few things for my cars over the past couple years. A little extra money, but quality work done right the first time.

FAST is a great shop here in Vancouver. Give Amber a call, she just fixed me up! 360-213-2781. Aldridge Motorsports in Portland just across the water is great too, depending on where in WA you are. Try Six States for the gears.
