DTM-Style GT350R Is the Racecar We’ve Been Waiting For
A lot of road cars are rather boring. However, slap wider fender flares, a deeper front splitter, and strip the interior, and they can be turned into ridiculous racecars. We’ve seen this countless times where Fiestas, Golfs, and other economy cars become asphalt-munching machines.
However, some cars are already ridiculous, so how do you make them even crazier? Simple, turn them into DTM-style racecars. For those that don’t know what DTM racing is, it’s a race series in Germany that attracts some of the best drivers and builders in the world to compete across Europe. The primary automakers are BMW, Audi, and Mercedes, but this next rendering will have many fans hoping the Blue Oval decides to wade into those Teutonic waters.
What we have here is a rendering by rc82workchop, and it features a brand new Mustang GT350R turned into a DTM-style racecar. It has side pipes, wider flares, a ridiculous front splitter, and a massive rear wing and diffuser. The GT350 is the perfect platform because it’s Ford’s latest global racecar platform and it wouldn’t take much to turn it into a proper DTM special.
What do you guys think? Is this the GT350 racecar we’ve been wanting?
