Borla Unveils Plug-In XR-1 Tuner for EcoBoost Mustang
Shelby GT350 aside, everyone knows the 5.0 V8 Mustang GT is the best Mustang — the one to have, right? Think again. The range of performance modifications for the EcoBoost-powered Ford Mustang is growing by the minute, and the newest one is from Borla.
Named the Borla XR-1 Tuner, the plug-and-play tuner model provides an instant power increase that you can easily activate or deactivate for track or street driving. Think of it as a an “extra boost” for your weekend hot laps or runs down the drag way. Needless to say, the XR-1 Tuner is for racing use only.
The tuner is available immediately for the all 2015-2017 Ford Mustangs equipped with the 2.3-liter EcoBoost 4-cylinder turbocharged engine. Borla claims the usage of this plug-in tuner will expand through the lineup throughout 2017.

- Stealth design leaves no trace on vehicle data recordings and is not affected by dealer ECU updates
EcoBoost Mustangs are already pretty lively ponies from the factory, but there’s nothing wrong with waking them up a little more.
