Hennessey Mustang Super Venom

A trio of Hennessey Mustang Super Venom models is likely something that we’ll never see in person, but the tuner recently made it happen.

The Hennessey Mustang Super Venom joined that tuner’s lineup not too terribly long ago, based on the newer S650-generation model. It’s a pretty extensive package that includes both appearance and performance upgrades, and is limited to just 91 total units of production – a number that pays homage to the year that Hennessey Performance was created. Recently, the Texas-based outfit gathered up a handful of Hennessey Mustang Super Venom models for a bit of a photo/video shoot, and the results, well, they’re definitely worth the three or so minutes of footage that resulted.

The Hennessey Mustang Super Venom is indeed a looker to begin with, and it’s been blessed with a few exterior upgrades to help set it apart from a regular, run of the mill pony car. Those include a host of carbon fiber bits such as the front splitter, active hood vent, functional fender louvers, side mirror caps, side skirts, rear deck lid, lip spoiler, and a gooseneck track wing, to go along with “H” fender badges. The Super Venom rolls on a set of 20-inch lightweight wheels, too.

The Super Venom also sports signature script trunk lid badging to communicate what one is looking at, plus a Super Venom ’91 Icon livery for those that want a bit more. Inside, there’s more Hennessey badging in the form of a dash plaque and floor mats, a signature logo embossed in the headrests, and a full-blown leather and Alcantara upgrade that makes the pony car’s cabin much more luxurious.

Of course, the main attraction with the Hennessey Mustang Super Venom lies under the hood, where the factory 5.0-liter Coyote V8 has been treated to a host of modifications. Those consist of a supercharger, most notably, along with a high-flowing air induction system, larger fuel injectors, a beefier fuel pump, and HPE’s engine management calibration, all nestled in a dressed-up engine bay with carbon fiber trim.

The result of those upgrades is a cool 850 crank horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque, and the Super Venom also comes with Hennessey’s own three-year, 36,000-mile limited warranty. Overall, it’s a pretty cool package on its own regard, but looks even better when traveling in a pack – as is the case here.
