‘Ponies at the Pike’ and some Shelby track days highlight one heck of a spring Mustang car show season.

With winter finally (maybe?) nearing an end, it’s time to start making plans for our favorite time of year – car show season. And no matter what coast you live on, Mustang fans will have plenty of excellent choices in 2019. A great place to start is “Ponies at the Pike,” which takes place in always sunny Shoreline Aquatic Park in Long Beach, California on March 16-17.

This will mark the first year this event, formerly known as “Mustangs at The Queen Mary,” takes place in the spring. Organizers still plan on having another show this fall, but after last year’s September event got rained out, they decided to double their chances at success. Even better, this event promises to bring the same awesome Mustang lineup with a very fair entry price of free!

If you’d rather test your chops at the track, you’ll want to check out Team Shelby Bash Track Days March 15-16 at the Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch in Pahrump, Nevada. There’s you’ll get to scope out the 2020 Mustang Shelby GT500 and take a ride in both a new Shelby GT350 and a continuation ’65 model. Sign up for the Team Shelby Track Experience, and you can take your own car out on the track for a few hot laps.
