‘Blurple’ Shelby GT500 Is Flat-Out Breathtaking

There’s a reason that Classic Recreations is such a highly respected shop.

Namely, because when it comes to creating unique vintage replicas, the Oklahoma shop is one of the best around. Take this breathtaking 1960s-inspired Shelby GT500, for instance.

The Shelby replica is equipped with a 427-cubic inch V8 from Ford Performance and an F-1R Procharger supercharger with 770-horsepower, the powertrain of choice for Classic Recreations top-spec “900S” models. But it’s the color of this Mustang, called “Blurple,” that makes it special, especially when accented with those matte sliver stripes.

Of course, a Classic Restoration piece like this doesn’t’ come cheap. This Shelby GT500CR was created for a man in the Middle East with a build price of $234,000. In case you’re counting, that’s about the same cost as four 2017 Shelby GT350s.

Then again, a cool classic Mustang recreation like this should carry a pretty hefty price tag.
