2022 Ford Mustang Ice White Edition Is a Proper 1990s Throwback
Iced-out 2022 Ford Mustang and Mustang Mach-E are the first white-on-white pony cars offered in 28 years.
It’s been 28 years since Ford last offered a white-on-white Mustang from the factory – the 1993 “Triple White” Fox Body convertible, a truly rare special edition model that was limited to just 1,500 units and has since become a red-hot collector’s item. Now, however, the automaker is bringing back the all-white treatment on the 2022 Ford Mustang and Mustang Mach-E, but this time around, they’re calling it the Ice White Edition appearance package.
First up, we have the 2022 Ford Mustang Ice White Edition – available on EcoBoost and GT Premium models – which comes finished in Oxford White with matching Oxford White-painted heritage-inspired 19×9-inch wheels with machine-surfaced pockets, “iced-out” taillights, and Oxford White pony badges and fender badging.
Rather than being entirely white inside the cabin, the Ice White Edition Mustang also features a variety of black elements to give it some welcome contrast. Notable features here include Oxford White leather seat inserts in the front and rear, Oxford White leather door panels, an aluminum appliqué on the dash, and white accent stitching on the center console, door panels, shifter boot, and headrests.
For the first time ever, the Mach-E shares an appearance package with its ICE-powered brother, though it is a bit different from the Mustang’s Ice White package. Available on Premium models, the Mach-E Ice White Edition appearance package includes Star White Metallic Tri-Coat paint with matching mirror caps and wheel lip moldings, an Oxford White pony badge, and unique 19-inch machined-face aluminum wheels with Oxford White-painted pockets.
Inside, the Mach-E Ice White Edition features Light Space Gray seats, center console, and door-panel armrests, along with a Bright Silver hex-patterned instrument panel, and an Oxford White pony badge on the steering wheel.
Fans of this classic 1990s look will be able to snag their 2022 Ford Mustang Ice White Edition when they arrive at dealers in early 2022, while orders for the Mach-E Ice White Edition open in the fall, after which these iced-out crossovers will arrive in showrooms early next year.
