The team at Carroll Shelby International have come up with a unique and fitting tribute for the 50th Anniversary of the Ford Mustang.

Looking to add a personal touch to the celebrations, the company has commissioned former Ford GT designer and artist Camilo Pardo to design a trailer to take to Mustang events that captures the legacy of Carroll Shelby as an important part of the car’s history.

The trailer walls feature a classic portrait of Carroll sporting his famous black Stetson hat, a candy red Shelby Super Snake and a classic white Cobra. The designs are based on originals that Pardo created specifically for Shelby, a person the artist has always had a deep admiration for as one of the pioneers in the world of performance vehicles.

In fact, Pardo had Carroll Shelby sign one of the Ford GTs he’s owned over the years, all of which makes the trailer a lot more than just a “store on wheels.”

“I’ve always been interested in stretching the boundaries to create something that has never been done,” explained Pardo. “My goal for this project was to design graphics for the mobile store that convey the passion and unique heritage of Shelby. The Shelby name stands for unmatched performance, so we created a design that is as iconic as the man, the company and its cars.”

The nationwide tour with the Shelby trailer will begin at Charlotte Motor Speedway on April 16, one of the two major event locations for the anniversary celebrations.

“The hunger for genuine Shelby branded items is extremely strong,” said Neil Cummings, co-CEO of Carroll Shelby International. “Carroll Shelby’s Store on Wheels is our way of feeding that hunger by bringing world-class Shelby products to enthusiasts at key events across the country. From Charlotte to California, Michigan and Texas, we’ll bring the magic of Shelby to the hometowns of the people who love this brand.”

Many of the items sold during the tour ranging from Shelby signed memorabilia to special edition shirts will only be available on the trailer.
