New Mustang Racing Toward Top-Selling Sports Car of 2015
In case you haven’t heard by now, the new Mustang isn’t showing any signs of slowing down, certainly not when it comes to posting impressive sales numbers.
Compared to last August, sales for the new Mustang models are up a whopping 70 percent, with a total tally of 9,997 of the pony cars sold in August. It’s the best August sales month the Mustang has had since 2007, according to a Mustang360 report.
In fact, for the year, sales of the car are up 56 percent globally in the first six months, which means the Mustang is poised to be the most popular sports car in 2015, according to Motor Authority. Even more impressive, with another 100 countries on the horizon, including 25 right-hand-drive markets, those sales numbers could skyrocket even more in the months to come.
Topping the Mustang sales chart in Europe are the colors Magnetic Gray and Race Red, while Black dominates the sales in the United States. Race Red also ranks as the most popular new Mustang color in China.
