You can buy plastic polish. It's generally marketed for headlight restoration but works with most plastics. I use it all the time as a finishing buff when working on guns.

But after only a short drive the tail end of the car is immediately dusty! (I live in CA and it hasn't rained in months; everything is kind of dusty). The black shiny plastic on the trunk doesn't help either.

It has probably something to do with the aerodynamics of this car. Would a different spoiler help ? I currently have the stock spoiler (as on the '13 GT premium). Do you guys, with no spoiler have the same? Or do the GT500 people also have this issue?

This is an exaggerated photo... I had to drive off road.

How long did you go before it looked this dirty?

I washed mine two weeks ago. it doesn't look this bad... been parking it outside and inside of the garage and its been raining a lot of aswell. maybe that's why it doesn't look like that kind of dirty on the rear-end.

As I said: it's an exaggerated picture. Just a few minutes on a dirt road, with a speed of no faster then my grand mother walking.

Hmmmm, I never had that problem, maybe you guys are flinging your seat belts when you get out of the car. But I do agree that there is way too much hard plastic panels, especially in the 05-09s.

Agreed on the belt, no problems here.

As for the hard plastic, can't speak for the '05-'09 cars but besides the doors what else would you want to be soft touch? The center console door is soft touch (albeit barely) and the upper *and* lower dash are soft touch. A lot of cars don't have soft touch lower dashes, nor soft touch doors.

I don't need the doors or center console to be "soft touch" per se, just not HARD brittle, easily scuffed plastic. Somewhere in between.

Radio / Clock Display

Least favorite thing on my 2014 GT is the dimly lit radio and clock display during daylight. Impossible to read....

Clutch pedal extension from Bondra Perf. Eng. is the best money you'll ever spend. Put the seat position where ever you like, and no more need for a longer left leg. For middle leg issues, please see a doctor.

The position of the hand brake - I carry my wallet in my front pocket and every time i get in the car i have to reposition it because the parking brake handle presses against it. I guess maybe if i got rid of all the stupid loyalty cards this would be less of a problem. The good thing is once i turn the key and hear that sound, i forget all about it. As for closing the trunk lid - I don't have a problem - i just use the GT emblem to pull it down - that avoids the finger prints on the shiny plastic.

The thing I like the least is the cost of mods as compared to the older Mustangs. I'm hoping the prices will come down when the 2015 hits the streets.

The base stereo is the worst stereo that I have ever heard in a vehicle. It's a good thing I listen to the engine and exhaust note 80% of the time. But seriously the stereo speakers are pathetic.

I have the Shaker 1000 upgrade, and trust me, it's not much better. Not much clarity to the treble and mids, and the bass is muddy. The 2 way speakers definitely need an upgrade.

Ha! Same here but it's lots of work keys for me. I wish it could be moved over. Maybe for me a few pounds off would help too.
