tpms sensors

Had the TPMS sensor light come on, "TPMS Fault" but went away. It would come and go but hasn't come back for a while now.

Anyone have these issues? of course dealer can't replicate.

Did you check to see if you had a tire that was low on air?

Yeah, all tires were correct. It would come on after driving so many miles but would shut off when you restarted the car sometimes.

You most likely have an issue in the TPMS system. If your car had a low tire it would tell the operator it detected a low tire (“Low Tire Pressure”). It will also tell the operator if a system fault is detected during the systems initialization (“TPMS System Fault”). It could be anything in the system but most likely it’s the pressure sensor (Probably a low battery). Time for a trip to the dealer…

The TPMS is extremely sensitive to the use of "summer/high performance tires" when used below 40 degrees. I simply reset the system BECAUSE the dealership says "it is normal" even when the pressures are correct which mine have been the last three times on our cars. The dealership always tells me a "fix" is in the works...the last 30 months! YEAH delaerships.
