I wouldn't think there would be much of a difference in tune files between the 94 and 93 octane.

In British Columbia, we have 94 octane Chevron with no/no ethanol. I hear this is even better for the engine. In Alberta, no Chevron but there is Petro Can 94 octane and if I remember correctly it too is ethanol-free.... I don't know how it breaks down going further east....If I were to drive to Ontario, say, I'd probably go through the USA... cheaper gas.... etc

Matti from Vancouver, BC.... presently in Finland just north of Helsinki.

I used the 94 in my tuned Audi S4 back when I had it. Used about 15 gallons at a track day. No noticeable difference in power, but the little extra knock protection was nice...

One thing to note - the 94 octane has ethanol, whereas some of the 91 and I believe 93 can be found ethanol free up there. I know in Vermont there are some ethanol free stations with 91. I fill up multiple 5-gallon containers every time I pass through VT

Which machine do you have? 5.0 or 3.7?

94 octane with no tune is pointless, anything higher than 91 with no tune youre wasting money.

Phone american muscle and ask them about running 94 octane with one of their tunes.

Or you can just get a 91 octane tune off the shelf and not even call.

This is not entirely true, especially if fuel quality is poor.

Switching from shell 91 to mohawk/husky 94 I consistently picked up 10 to 11 degree's of timing with absolutely no knock. This is the only fuel me and my car buddies will run, it makes an even bigger difference with our boosted engines

I use 87 with a Brenspeed Tune. Try to use Chevron most of the time, but stay away from Shell.

i live near Vancouver and have been running 91 octane with tune, then a 93 tune with 94 chevron and wow, it was impressive. Back to 91 tune/fuel today, as i was happy with the 91 tune performance. Not enough chevrons out here in the valley.

Go ahead and read what i just wrote one more time.

I said 94 octane is pointless on a car with no tune, IE a stock configuration with no forced induction or other viable mods.

It wouldn't surprise me with the way fuel pumps are set up nowadays that if you buy 93, you're actually getting maybe 92.5. With 91, your actually getting 90.5 There will always be a little bit left over from the previous person at the pump used, which is usually 87. So it's going to get mixed a bit.

That said, here we don't have 91, it goes from 89 to 93.
