I dont knock anyone for doing anything custom to there ride so other people should'nt either just respect the life style and repect someone for doing there thing. Thats my last 50 cents on this darn thread. HOLLLAAAA!!!!

You didn't knock me for having my 17" bullitt wheels and my vinyl stripes, right? What did you say? I think it was, "be original man don't hate on me or my boy because you can't come up with anything original". I think that was it. It's all good though, Bobby. No hard feelings.

And Mike... the area between the wheel and the fender needs to be less than the height of the sidewall of your low-profile tires. If not, it's gonna look off. Hopefully you'll be able to drop it enough. Good luck with that. It would just stink if your car turned out like this...

Hi AcrophobiA "The fear of heights"! I'm The Period. It was nice to see that you used me twice in your post, but you could have thrown me in there a couple more times, or maybe a comma or two. I've edited your post below, so that other's will be able to understand it easily.

The Period cracks me up, as well as his brother, The Comma. I'm still waiting for their distant cousin, The Fragment, to post.

Punctuation is very important, it is the difference between

I helped my uncle Jack, off his horse.

and

I helped my uncle jack off his horse.

Wow! Look at the fragments in that post!

Has it ever occured to you that few share your enthusiasm for SUV sized wheels going on a Mustang?

i ordered my 22's a week ago and there going to be here this week sometime but i have been hearing alot of people on here talk about how ugly they think they are is this because of the fact that they cant afford 22's or do they not like them because there into performance and the bigger wheels hurt that or what im lost ,sorry if this sounds like a hate thread cause its not, its just that i have always liked the bigger wheel less tire look and after seeing the white GT with the red strips on 22's at sema last year thats the look i have been wanting to build in my new GT but i want silver with metalic white strips lowered one inch on 22's with a nice body kit

so anyway what are ya'lls honest opinions on running 22 inch wheels on the new stang
Where are you comimg from saying we can't afford the purchase the wheels. Now that was real DUMB. I would hate to see this car pimped out and hope I never see your car. You asked I told YA

22s on a mustang or any sport car doesnt belong... 22s belong on either A luxary cars or B trucks and suvs

I just recently put 22s on my 2001 and I must say I love them to death! Nice head turner. The only difference I've boticed is more weight but not bad at all. I still drive the interstate and make u turns no problem. Go with a 245/30zr/22. That's what I went with and I didnt have to lower or raise and it came out perfect.

darn... a couple months it could have been a full decade 'holy dead thread' bump

my 06 came with 17s, changed to 18s, hated the ride, changed back to 17's... with even taller rear rubber, thing rides nicer than ever, fills the wheel lip without lowering. Definitely feels softer handling-wise, but the back end breaks free more controllably - where the 18's would step out very very abruptly, the softer rears make throttle oversteer more progressive, I guess as they can roll under a bit unlike the 18s stiff sidewalls.

I cant imagine 22s... sure would handle like on rails, but would expect the ride and suspension shock/abuse wouldnt be for me... when I changed from 17s to 18s, my 60 foot times dropped 1-2 tenths(wider rubber) but lost 3/10 and 4 mph at the finish...
