Very technical, but fun. First time on the new course, missed a couple apexes. A great day.

Looking good Pete, nice work!

Was there a double apex corner in there somewhere? I see you making 2 right hand turns in a row, but I can't quite tell if they are supposed to be 2 separate turns, or one double apex turn.

They are indeed two separate turns, which require a very early (unnatural) entry for the first one...feels and looks like your headed wrong, but you have to trust that it's the correct line. If you get the steering wheel angle + throttle just right, you can hold the wheel position through both turns with almost no correction, with all four wheels sliding ever-so-slightly, and you get set up for the next left-hander. Tricky and fun. Took me many times to get it. I used an instructor ride-along for a 'check-out ride' my first session - to learn the line. He helped me a lot. This new track is the East Course, in BLUE in the attached photo, and the two turns in question are closest to the bottom-right, nearest the paddock.

Wow, those courses look like a lot of fun! Looks like there is plenty of runoff room too. I'd love to make it to Spring Mountain one year. I can see some awesome track layouts if they were to combine the West and North circuits!

I recently made it to Grattan Raceway weekend event here in Michigan. It was a lot of fun, and a fast course. I have a couple videos in another thread on this page:
