Weird Emails WTF
Hey I just got 4 weird emails, I guess they are a fishing email????????
Anyways it was 4 notifications that my order has shipped.
Date of order 1/1/1900 Store: Mustang
3 orders no description for $238.27
1 order no description for $1102.11
This is the scammers email irivera8a@gmail.com
Of course I am not going to email the scammer, just real odd.
Wondered if anyone else got anything like this.

I got the same bogus email today
Scary thing is it had my correct name, address, cell phone, and email
I knew it was fishing or something and didn't click anything on it but I was a little concerned about how they had all of those things correct. I mean how do they have the cell phone.

I am from Canada and I had parts shipped just across the border in the US.
The scam email had my correct billing address and shipping address info.
I haven't bought any parts for about 4 months. The last place I bought anything from was American Muscle. I think one of the places I bought parts from was hacked.

I got one yesterday as well, and immediately checked all my financial institutions for any irregularities. With all the information within the email, and my history of ordering through one source I cant help but wonder if AM might have been hacked, or has a rogue employee.

I did the financial checks too and all was well. So I am not paranoid.
There has to be some commonality and I highly suspect AM.
I hate to accuse, but I feel like firing off an email to AM with my concerns.
Its downright scary

They're from Steeda.
Spoke with TJ about the one I got, they're aware of the issue.
They were transferring stuff to a new server and a glitch sent out confirmation emails, missing some info, like the company name, phone numbers, and a whole bunch of other stuff.
You can all delete them, lol.
His post on s197forum about it:
"We were migrating our servers over to a new server earlier this week & even today.
As we were migrating our customer database over, some of the customers in our database received the email from our old server - hence the reason some of the info is outdated.
It came from Steeda & as you stated, it is confusing because Steeda is not mentioned in the email & it was sent from a Steeda but was sent through Gmail. It was an error during the migration.
IT & management are aware of the emails & this isn't part of a hacking issue.
We apologize for the confusion & concern.
Best Regards,
TJ"

Yes, Gabe is correct - it was an issue with transferring the servers & during the process, the old Steeda server send out old invoices/order updates.
You have nothing to be concerned about - we have checked everything out on our end, spoke to our service providers & this is simply an error with the server.
Best Regards,
TJ

Ok that's a relief, but none the less I am still traumatized by the whole ordeal. I may need a free ball cap, t-shirt, and calendar to help me cope with all the pain and suffering I endured. LOL

Thank god. I got those too. 2 of them and I couldn't for the life of me figure out what it was. There were no links to click on no info asked for so it couldn't have been phishing. But having all my info freaked me out.
It legitimately caused me a lot of stress and being OCD with anxiety I was late to work when it came out due to googling and stressing out about it.
I'm relieved I logged in and found this tonight.
TJ, why didn't it occur to anyone at Steeda to maybe send out an email letting ppl know it was an error and from you guys and not to worry? I even sent a fresh email to the address and got no response which made be even more worried. Now I actually feel a little mad about it.

I got one too! And then today I got a call from +1 (888) 579-9559 - automated machine saying due to my excellent credit payment history, I am eligible for 0% interest on ALL my cards, just press 1 to speak with a representative
Weird because I paid off all the balances on our cards about 30 min earlier.

Happy to hear that is it all it was. I was trying to figure out who had my information as well. It didn't look malicious since it contained no attachments, but still raised some concern. I did reply using my phone asking what this was, but didn't get a response. I had already started changing all my passwords and monitoring my cards, just in case.

IMHO just ANOTHER example of modern day business! Companies could care less about customer satisfaction these days.

I would like to apologize to American Muscle for me jumping to conclusions that they were behind the emails or that they had a rogue employee in their midst, SORRY AM!!!.
The bogus emails must have effected one hell of a lot of people, I haven't bought anything from Steeda for over 2 years.
@Steeda
Just from reviewing the posts people must of made zillions of calls checking paypal, their banks, credit cards, changing passwords, googling, being late for work, not to mention a few more grey hairs on some. You guys have great company and make some nice parts. I know because I must have 2K worth of Steeda on my car.
In your post you never did say sorry folks or like someone said you probably should have sent out emails explaining the situation. I am glad its all good and nobody was hacked, but you should have said sorry.
Cheers
