Mustang V6 Pony New Wheels Recomendations Please

I have a 2006 Mustang v6 Pony. it has 235 55 17 tires with Gt wheels. My son ( I'm giving him this car ) wants new wheels. Since the tires are in need of replacing I told Him I will buy the tires if you want to buy the wheels.

He wants Boss 302 Wheels from the 2012 2013. Will they fit and what tire sizes will work with them?

Ewww, the black "base" model wheels? Or the LS wheels?

As far as I'm aware, all S197 wheels will fit on all S197's. The only issue would be brake clearances, but you shouldn't have a problem with that since you're going up in size.

As far as size, I'd probably just stick to whatever was stock...which I think is staggered, so he should have enough traction to never spin the wheels again. Lol.

Thats the problem im having. The stock tires is 235 55 17. When going up in wheels size the tire get wider. I am not sure if they will rub. He likes the look of the Boss wheels that are Silver and black. As I am researching this I find out that there is 3 types or 4 Depending on the site I am on.

I guess it would depend on the wheel/offset, but I think you can go up to 305's before you have to worry about rubbing. I would think any stock configuration should work. They're all essentially still the same body.
