Vintage Mustang Stolen in Illinois Still Missing

Nothing is more upsetting for a Mustang owner than having your car stolen. Not knowing what condition it’ll be in upon return, or if it’ll ever be found, just make things worse.
We’ve covered such stories time and time again here at The Mustang Source. And yet, they never get any easier for us to swallow. One of the latest incidents involves a ’67 classic Mustang stolen in Reidsville, North Carolina. Apparently, vintage Mustangs are even more coveted than many might have imagined.

According to a report by The Weekly Driver, Mustangs top the list as the most searched vintage car on the internet in 13 states. The Ford pony car is followed by the Chevrolet Impala as the most searched car in 7 states, the Chevrolet Camaro in 5, the Chevrolet Corvette in 3, the Dodge Charger in 3, and the Ford Thunderbird in 3 states.
Citing information from ClassicCars.com, the Weekly Driver report notes that vintage Mustangs generated 3,736,942 unique searches in 2016.
The details on the Reidsville Mustang theft are pretty sketchy, other than the police report stating that the vehicle was stolen from 170 Wilson Road sometime between 6 p.m. May 11 and 6 p.m. May 12.
Despite the fact that these kind of incidents seldom end on a positive note, we are certainly hoping for the best.
