Proceeds from former Ford CEO Mark Fields’ personal Super Snake will help the heroes of Las Vegas.

It’s been 50 years since Shelby introduced the automotive world to the Mustang Super Snake. Shelby brought the mega Mustang back in S197 form for the 2007 model year. Other versions of the Super Snake followed over the years. Now it’s returning for 2017.

This GT500 is believed to have terminated the original 428 engine quickly, and had a dealer install the 427 somewhat early on in its life.

Shelby American’s Super Snake is back. And it’s ready to tackle a track near you.

The “Wounded Warriors” 2012 Shelby Mustang GT500 was sold for $500,000 at the Las Vegas Barrett-Jackson auction.
