Not long ago a Mustang V6 was relegated to first-car status or for the few that wanted the muscle car styling with slightly better fuel mileage than the V8s. But Ford blew the V6 stigma out the window when they stuffed the new high revving 305 hp 3.7-liter V6 under the hood of the S197 V6 that not only gets 30 mpg on the highway, but as American Muscle shows here, can also be dang fast!
This Pro Charged automatic equipped V6 was the first of its kind to break into the 11s and has since run a best of 11.73 @ 116 mph all without a serious penalty to fuel mileage if you can keep your foot out of it. I don’t know about you, but I’d love a supercharged V6!
