Independence Day Mustang Salutes America

Independence Day Mustang

Forget about cheap foreign fireworks. This Indpendence Day Mustang is how we want to celebrate America.

When it comes to celebrating the birth of America, everyone has their favorite explosive way of doing it. Some prefer bottle rockets, others mortars. But for us, no fireworks made overseas and purchased at a sketchy side of the road stand compare to an Independence Day celebration made right here in the good old United States of America. We’re talking about Ford’s iconic pony car, more specifically, this unapologetic Star-spangled 2001 Mustang GT created by Galpin Auto Sports.

Both full of glory and covered in “Old Glory,” this “freedom” Mustang will make any red-blooded American stand at attention when it rolls by. It’s the kind of ride that we’d imagine Uncle Sam would be proud to cruise around in. You know, top down, top hat flapping in the breeze as he traverses Route 66 across this great nation. His passengers? Probably George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and maybe a bald eagle for good measure.

All jokes and superlatives aside, the Independence Day Mustang does in fact serve an important purpose. It was created to serve as the official car of the Grand Marshal in the 2001 Hollywood Christmas Parade. Alright, so maybe that isn’t really that important of a cause. But at least this patriotic Mustang did it in style.

Aside from the external hue, the interior sports bright white leather seats with red piping and embroidered logos. Which means you won’t want to spill your morning Americano. You’ll find various other touches of red, white, and blue all over the cabin as well. Outside of that and the flag waving exterior, a set of custom wheels, billet grille, and a custom exhaust set this Mustang apart from the pack.

And the best thing is, you don’t have to worry about losing a finger when you use this Mustang to salute this great nation of ours.
