Someone Is Already Trying to Flip a 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse

2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse

This 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse is well equipped in a great spec, but will it really sell for much more than its MSRP?

Deliveries of the all-new 2024 Ford Mustang just began a couple of months ago, and thus far, we’ve seen plenty of them hit the dyno, drag strip, and of course, our local roads and parking lots. It’s a special occasion any time a new pony car launches, and thus far, most have had nothing but positive things to say about the S650. We even get a new range-topping variant called the Dark Horse, which as a bit more power than the GT and some unique parts to boot. It isn’t a limited-production model, but it is a desirable one, and as such, perhaps we shouldn’t be surprised that someone is trying to flip a 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse at Bring a Trailer right now.

There are some dealers out there attempting to slap their own 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse models with markups, but in this case, the owner purchased his ride from Bill Marsh Ford in Gaylord, Michigan, and proceeded to drive it just 34 miles before listing it for sale here. Given the demand for these cars – not to mention Ford’s troubles producing them – and we certainly can’t blame them for trying to make a few bucks, at least.

If nothing else, this 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse is a great spec, finished in Shadow Black with a gloss black and a Dark Tarnished vinyl hood stripe, and it’s equipped with the optional Handling Package, which adds a rear wing with a Gurney flap, Dark Tarnished-painted 19-inch wheels wrapped with 305/30 front and 315/30 rear Pirelli P-Zero Trofeo RS tires, stiffer springs, larger sway bars, the MagneRide damping system, six-piston front and four-piston rear Brembo brakes.

Then there’s the special version of the 5.0-liter Coyote V8, which generates 500 horsepower and 418 pound-feet of torque thanks to some unique parts, flowing to the rear wheels via the 10-speed automatic transmission in this case, plus a rear end stuffed with 3.55 gears.

Altogether, this particular 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse came with a sticker price of $73,295, which isn’t the absolute highest we’ve seen, but this is a well-equipped car, regardless. However, whether or not it manages to sell for a significant profit after fees are subtracted remains to be seen – after all, while we love the Dark Horse, it doesn’t seem as if folks are quite as eager to pay a premium to bring one home.
