Ignition Cylinder Fell Out...

Has anyone else ever seen or heard of this happening? The car still started, but the cylinder would fall out if you pulled the key at all.

Luckily, I had 3,000 miles left on my warranty. It only took a few hours to fix, but even the service guys had never seen this before. I brought the key inside with the cylinder still on it, and they started laughing, but so was I.

That's what the service guys said: It's a really good theft protector.

Actually, they didn't ask many questions since I still had a warranty. Plus my dad was backing the car out when it happened.
