SEMA 2013: Bad Penny Mustang Makes Black and Copper Cool

A few days ago we previewed the Bad Penny Mustang ahead of it’s debut here at SEMA. It’s not the most outrageous, not the most technically impressive, but it is my vote for the most stylish Mustang in Fords booth. Other ones were more race oriented and doubtlessly faster, but it Bad Penny is the only one I would consider actually getting if it were a special edition. Mainly, because it’s kinda classy. Which is weird thing to say about a Mustang.

The car was built by Classic Design Concepts. It’s exterior is a mishmash of parts from their catalog and RTR. What really stands out is the copper colored accents. Shiny, “chrome” vinyls have gained popularity in recent years. While I think full body wraps are garish, doing the accents like this actually look really nice.

Ford Racing Performance took care of the underhood work. A supercharger and supporting mods bring the power up to 624 horses. Yeah, it’s a show car, but at least it’s fast. The interior was worked over by Classic Design Concepts as well. What do you think?
