Roush Supercharged Mustang

Phase 2 Roush Supercharger boosts the Ford Mustang GT’s 5.0-liter V8 to 750 horsepower and 670 pound-feet of torque.

Roush Performance has announced its most powerful retail supercharger is now available to power enthusiasts in all 50 states, and is backed by an in-house powertrain warranty. The new ROUSH Phase 2 Supercharger System boosts the 2018-2020 Ford Mustang GT to 750 horsepower and 670 pound-feet of torque – a gain of 290 horsepower and 250 pound-feet of torque over stock. The power increase comes from the new calibration, optimized for 93-octane fuel for more aggressive tuning made possible by the new, larger full-face low temperature radiator for increased cooling capacity.

In order to ensure this new supercharger system met power targets, ROUSH engineers spent hundreds of hours in CAD creating a custom-designed fuel charging assembly which features optimized upper and lower aluminum intake manifolds that improve the performance of the fuel delivery system. After finalizing the design, the system was rigorously tested and underwent 5 million wide-open-throttle cycles to ensure airflow and power goals were met.

To enable higher operational speeds and enhanced thermal efficiency, the Roush Phase 2 supercharger is built on Eaton’s venerable TVS R2650 hybrid-roots supercharger technology that features four-lobe rotors with 170 degrees of twist. Larger bearings and thicker timing gears provide increased durability while the custom high-efficiency aluminum intercooler, high-capacity coolant reservoir helps keep the air entering the engine cool.

Interior

The Phase 2 Supercharger fits the 2018-2020 Ford Mustang GT equipped with the 5.0-liter V8 and is compatible with both manual and automatic transmissions, This system includes ROUSH’s high performance calibration, which is flashed using free Roush RDT software and requires the use of premium gas with 93-octane fuel recommended for maximum power output.

The Roush Phase 2 supercharger kit comes with all necessary installation hardware and is backed by ROUSH’s own in-house, 3-year/36,000-mile limited powertrain warranty when installed by a Ford dealer or an Automotive Service Excellence-certified technician. Customers with the Phase 1 Supercharger kit can now upgrade to 750hp with the addition of the Phase 2 Supercharger kit.
