Raybestos Renders ’69 Mustang for Giveaway
Take a good look at this sweet ride. And go ahead, imagine what it’d look like in your driveway, because this ’69 custom Mustang could be yours. Oh, and we mean the real thing, folks — not this cool rendering, although it certainly is enough to get you excited about the idea.
The classic fastback, being customized by Raybestos and Schwartz Performance, will be touring the U.S. after it’s finished. Then she’ll idle at the 2016 Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) Show, where one lucky winner will be handed the keys. And from the sound of what the team has in store for this mod, the word “lucky” is putting it lightly.
Some of the features will include a Schwartz Performance “G-Machine” bolt-in chassis, as well as an off-the-shelf performance disc brake upgrade package, using Raybestos components and Element3® brake pads with Enhanced Hybrid Technology (EHT®).
“As we rebuild this one-of-a-kind Raybestos ’69 Mustang Fastback, we are keeping in mind the Boss 302 Mustang of 1969,” said Jeff Schwartz, president of Schwartz Performance. “The classic colors and striping are true to the time, and we will install a new Ford Coyote engine that is very similar to the one found in the modern Boss 302.”
