New Mustang Will Be Quicker Than Boss 302 Laguna Seca
A few weeks after making its official global debut, a Ford communications rep has revealed that the 2015 Mustang has been engineered to beat the benchmarks of the Mustang Boss 302 Laguna Seca edition out the box, according to an Automotive.com report.
Brian Cotter, a communications rep for Ford, says that the new Mustang will beat its predecessor’s time of 1:39.5 at Mazda Laguna Seca. That’s even quicker than the outgoing BMW M3. The report goes on to note that Ford chose to use benchmarks like the M3 and Porsche 911 as benchmarks rather than Chevrolet Camaro and Dodge Challenger.
How’s that for taking out the competition?
