Hey, I’m definitely one for change.

I mean, c’mon, we just can’t sit around living in the past forever. But if you happen to be somebody that just can’t shake that love for those old-school Mustangs and still yearn for a bit of that modern feel, then this new contemporary interpretation of the American muscle might be just for you.

Well, that is and if you have $250,000 or so to toss around.

Designed and engineered as a tribute to the Motor City, the 2014 Equus Bass 770 represents everything that’s comes to define iconic Detroit muscle cars most noticeably the vehicle’s fastback styling cues – horse and all, reminiscent of the 1969 Mustang.

Intended to be a collector’s piece (hence the quarter of a million dollar price tag), the Bass 770 features a full aluminum bespoke frame and body, tailored leather interior and a number of other unique details, according to the company’s official website.

The car is powered by a handcrafted 6.2-liter aluminum supercharged 640 horsepower V8 engine with 605 lb-ft. of torque matted to a six-speed rear mounted dual-clutch transmission. Other performance features include Brembo carbon ceramic brakes, magnetic suspension and a performance traction management system.

Interior features on the Bass 770 include black leather seats, AC (of course) and a radio/CD/DVD player as well as a USB port. The car is also equipped with cruise control.

Options, which can push the car’s price up to $290,000, include colored or chromed brake calipers, interior and exterior black chrome accents and a few other enhancements.

I think I’m in love.
