Mustang’s Australian Arrival Sparks Beatles-Like Mania

It seems like love for the Ford Mustang in Australia might even reach extremes beyond the passion here in the U.S.

As we reported previously here, the new model is already sold out in the land Down Under, with the first batch of cars making their way to owners now. But an analysis by Ford President and CEO, Graeme Whickman, about the popularity of the car there may even be more fascinating than that, as highlighted in a recent report by The Oceanside Post.

“We are simply overwhelmed and humbled by the reception to Mustang thus far, which is probably our closest equivalent to The Beatles first trip to Australia”, said Whickman.

Yup, you read it right. The Beatles, which is about as extreme as fanatical receptions get. Can you imagine throngs of screaming teens just waiting for Mustangs to be delivered?
