Mustang GT3 Race Cars Get New Liveries For 2024 Racing Season

By -

New Liveries

New liveries will cover the IMSA, WEC and GT World Challenge Europe Mustang GT3s.

Much of the country is dealing with brutal cold temperatures and snowstorms. But racing season is almost here! Nothing indicates that the season is about to get underway like the reveal of the new racing liveries. And those new for 2024 liveries have just been revealed, so it is time to go racing.

The new designs will cover the latest S650 Mustang Dark Horse-based Mustang GT3 racecar. These new GT3 racers will be competing all over the world. They have been entered in the global FIA GT3 category. That means they will not only race domestically at tracks like Daytona. But we will see them at the Circuit de la Sarthe competing at Le Mans. The race cars are built in collaboration with Ford Performance and Multimatic. We expect them to be fast, but they are also going to look great.

The first new livery we get to have a look at is for the two Dinamic GT Mustang GT3s that will race in SRO’s Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe that starts this April. Both cars will wear the same livery. Car number 54 will be driven by Frederic Vervisch, Christopher Mies and Dennis Olsen. The drivers for car number 55 have not yet been announced by the Dinamic GT team. The cars will feature a green, black and white color scheme with the iconic Mustang pony playing a prominent role.

The new livery for the Proton Competition cars has also been revealed. These cars will compete in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship as well as the FIA World Endurance Championship. These cars use a light blue, white and green color scheme and feature the Mustang pony. We will see the number 55 car in action first when it makes its IMSA debut at Daytona International Speedway this week. The driver lineup will be Olsen, Ryan Hardwick, Corey Lewis and Giammarco Levorato.

Car number 77

The number 77 car will be driven by Hardwick, Zacharie Robichon and Ben Barker. This car will compete in the FIA World Endurance Championship, and we will first see it in action at Losail International Circuit in Qatar.

Proton Competition car number 88 has also been revealed. This car will be driven by Giorgio Roda, Mikkel O. Pedersen and Olsen. This car will use a menacing black and gold color scheme. And unlike the other cars, the Mustang pony is not a prominent part of the design.

Regardless of the liveries, we are excited to see the new Mustang GT3s finally competing on the racetrack. It should be an exciting 2024 race season.
