Mustang GT Called on to Help Patrol Deadly Isle of Man TT
Ford muscle car joined by a Focus RS at legendary Isle of Man motorcycle race.
The Isle of Man Constabulary, a national police force charged with enforcing the law on an island that sits off the coast of England, has elicited the help of a few trusty warriors for an upcoming event.
One of those warriors will come in the form of a high-revving Ford Mustang GT.
What would prompt an island to need a Mustang to help police an event, you ask? Apparently, one of the most insane and dangerous motorcycle races in the world, as detailed in a report by The Drive.
The event, known as the Isle of Man TT and scheduled to conclude June 9, has already claimed the lives of three men this year. In 2016, four racers died during the event, which started in 1907, and is huge draw for motorsports enthusiasts.

Over the past decade, the high-speed race, widely known for its unforgiving twits and turns, has claimed the lives of 32 riders.
Evidently, the intensity of the race requires serious and highly capable police vehicles to keep tabs on all the attendees who flock to the event, as well. In addition to the Mustang, local authorities will also be patrolling the grounds with a Ford Focus RS and a BAC Mono, which leads you to believe some of it may be for show, as well.
Either way, the Isle of Man TT certainly is an event where safety is of the utmost importance. And let’s hope the remaining days of the event fare much better in that area for the riders and spectators alike.
