Mustang Dragster Hits 131 MPH on Ice

Hitting the ice to drag race a Mustang isn’t necessarily the first thing that comes to mind when thinking of new ways to blow-off some steam. But after watching the clip below, we can certainly see the appeal.

The video, posted by Ruth Redeker, shows a ’65 Mustang (aka Nitemare II) battling a blown alcohol dragster at the 2016 Merrill Ice Drags in Wisconsin, running what organizers say is the fastest 1/8 mile on ice. According to the YouTube post, the Perry Redeker Powered Mustang reached a speed of 131 mph racing on the slippery white stuff. And most of that 1/8 mile appears to have been raced on two wheels!

Of course, we really have no way to officially verify the claim, but it’s seems pretty clear from the video clip that this is one race that’s well worth catching next year.
