Mustang and Charger Mashup Is Science Gone Horribly Wrong

By -

Mustang and Charger Convertible

Somebody wanted a two-door convertible Charger badly enough to hack up a poor Mustang, and the results are hideous.

Nobody really knows what causes people to try and mash two different cars together, but yet, it continues to happen. Sometimes, these science experiments actually turn out looking great. But more often than not, the end result more closely resembles Frankenstein than anything else. This latest abject disaster is clearly the result of one person’s dream of owning a two-door Dodge Charger convertible. So they thought, why not just tack a Charger’s front and rear end onto an S197 Ford Mustang?

We’ll admit, the end result actually doesn’t look terrible. At least compared to some of the incredibly horrific creations we’ve seen in the past. But it’s still pretty dumb, and this Mustang and Charger mashup is going to turn heads for all the wrong reasons wherever it goes. So it’s no surprise that the pics of it have gone seriously viral, spreading around the internet like some medieval disease.

No one really knows who originally shot these pics, but they started showing up in several Mustang Facebook groups recently. Most recently, we caught them on Eviil_Srt’s Instagram page, where they’ve received quite the reaction. And by “quite the reaction,” we mean serious backlash.

Charger and Mustang Convertible

Truthfully, what would you expect from the unholy mashup of two very different modern muscle cars? But we suppose you can’t blame the Dodge guys for being a little jealous they can’t buy a two-door Charger. And you can’t help but admire how this poor Mustang turned out to be such a clean fit with those body panels. Well, except for the hideous rear. Regardless, this is one great way to make Mopar and Blue Oval fans mad at the same time, we suppose!
