How Much Would You Pay for a Cloned Shelby GT350?

If you’re at an auction and you come across any classic Mustang with only 1,000 miles, it’s probably worth looking into. But the idea of a Mustang GT350 with only 1,000 miles? Well, that deserves special attention, even if it is a restored ’65 fastback made to look like the Shelby classic.

Painted in the traditional Shelby GT350 Wimbledon White with Guardsman Blue stripes, the Mustang went through a three-year restoration process, as noted by Bring A Trailer, the site that was auctioning the car off.

The restored Mustang features a 200-horsepower V8, rear quarter windows, rear valence panel with trumpet exhaust outlets, and functional side scoops. She’s riding on 14“ Magnum 500s with Scott Drake GT350 center caps with the classic Shelby snake logo.

Inside, the car’s been restored with standard interior features including all new carpeting and upholstery and a dash-mounted tachometer. From the photos below (and more on the site), it’s pretty hard to tell that this isn’t an actual Shelby, even to the average Mustang fan.

The bidding on this beauty ended August 6, with the winner driving her home for $28,250. What do you think, does it seem like a deal?
