Is ‘2V Beast’ the Toughest Two-Valve Mustang on the Block?

By -

Even at idle, this twin turbo, two-valve GT sounds like it means business.

When it comes to fast New Edge Mustangs, it seems like the dual overhead cam four-valve (DOHC 4V)  cars get all of the attention. Today, we’re happy to show you a seriously awesome two-valve we found on YouTube.

YouTuber y2k2gt — we’re assuming he’s referring to his 2002 GT in the clip — is especially proud of his high-powered 2V Mod motor, as evidenced by his license plate, “2V BEAST.”

With a machine like this, we’d be proud too. In this video, we can hear the car idling with its new cams, ready to tear up the strip. According to the video description, the new setup needs some fine-tuning, since it apparently needs a lot more fuel.

There’s a lot more to this wicked setup than just cams, though. As we listen to that incredible idle, the camera pans around to the engine day, where we can see the two massive turbochargers hanging off the front of the engine.

The exhaust exits out of cutouts in the front bumper on either side, which gives this 2V Mustang an intimidating look, to say nothing of the amount of noise this thing must generate. We can’t wait until the owner dials the new setup in so we can hear it at full song.

The cowl hood and Terminator bumper cover add to the tough, purposeful look of the 2V BEAST, and the Weld Street & Strip wheels — staggered, naturally — are just one more clue that this Mustang means business.

Meet 2V BEAST, the Toughest Two-Valve on the Block

Simply put, this 2002 GT looks and sounds simply evil. We’re definitely going to stay tuned to y2k2gt to see what’s next in store for 2V BEAST, and we suggest you do, too. Then again, we don’t think we’ll ever get tired of listening to this mean Mustang idle.
