‘Hoonicorn’ Mustang Shreds Detroit Streets in Gymkahana 10 Video

By -

Most insane Stang ever built heads back to its birthplace for the smokiest homage to Motor City you’ve ever seen.

By now, you’re undoubtedly familiar with Ken Block‘s amazing all-wheel drive, twin-turbo toy, the Ford Mustang he calls the “Hoonicorn.” We’ve already seen him slide his way up Pike’s Peak in the highly-modified race car in a stunt that seemed impossible to top. But now, Block and his crew have once again outdone themselves with the amazing Gymkhana 10.

Block and his fellow Hoonigans set out to make the 10th installment of their wildly-popular web series the best one yet. And suffice to say, we think they achieved that goal. This time around, Block took five of his fantastic toys to different locations, scoping out the most iconic spots to show off his amazing car control skills.

This tire-slaying tour de force naturally includes his Mustang Hoonicorn, which Block slides all over the Motor City otherwise known as Detroit. And what better place to show off this icon of American automobiles than the place it was born?

Block starts off by lighting up all four tires and catapulting out of a tunnel. He then slides around Ford’s newly acquired Michigan Central Station. Shaving this corner inches away from the curb seems like a cinch for the masterful Block.

But if you’ve watched Amazon’s excellent new series The Gymkhana Files, you know that this was a surprisingly difficult scene to pull off.

Next up is a Gymkhana staple move, donuts around a dude on a Segway. Thankfully, the two-wheeled rider is wearing a mask to keep the Mustang’s methanol fumes out of his lungs. Block then hits a tunnel on I-75 to show off his fire-breathing engine.

Before performing some donuts in front of the iconic fist statue downtown. He wraps up one heck of a performance with a backwards slide around the famous American Coney Island.

Just another day in the life of our favorite driver. Not to mention what might just be the craziest Mustang ever built.
