Shelby GT350R Scares Londoners in the Best Possible Way

Last week, Ford participated in a big way at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. They not only showcased the new Focus RS that will finally be coming to the States, but they also featured the Shelby GT350R for the first time in the U.K. At full tilt. In the hands of the former Stig, Ben Collins. You’ve undoubtedly watched it, or if you’re like me, you watched it a few times with the volume turned up all the way.

Since the new GT350R was already in the U.K., Ford decided to play some tricks on the locals by introducing them to some true American muscle.

Get a load of the Ford Europe video below. Essentially, the GT350R sits idly by until some people get up close enough to touch her, then boom, she opens the throttle on the 5.2L flat-plane crank V8 and scares the living bejesus out of anyone within earshot of Central London. The best part is that the GT350R makes some of the women giggle hysterically.

Currently, Ford isn’t planning on selling the GT350R in Europe, but given the level of excitement that this car brings, I wouldn’t doubt that Ford is re-considering.
