Model Mustang II King Cobra & Cobra II
Color Bright Red & Performance White
History
The King Cobra is an all original survivor car. It began life in Michigan, and it was kept by a collector for many years. When it sold, it was hardly driven, and was actually used on display at the Quaker Steak & Lube Restaurant in Rochester, NY for 2 years. I aquired it about a year ago with only 39k on the odometer. Aside from replacing the tires, the car is all stock on the exterior.
The Cobra II is completely custom. It was repainted to look like a 1976. It also has an original 1976 Cobra II interior in excellent condition. The engine has also been replaced
----------
Exterior
On the KC Just new tires. I wish someone still made 13" RWL tires, as the BSW do not look as good.
The Cobra II is a complete redo with a modern day paint with the lemans stripes painted on. Custom 14" wheels have been added too.
-----
Interior
On the KC it is as it left Ford except the center console. It has the luxury interior, T-Tops, A/C, AM/FM Cassette, and more. I found a console on Craigslist and refinished it.
The Cobra II has a complete interior from a donor 1976 Cobra II. The seats & door panels are in excellent condition
-----
In-Car Entertainment
The KC has it's original Ford AM/FM Cassette with original dealer added Kraco rear speakers. It actually sounds pretty good!
The Cobra II has a custom, glovebox mounted Pioneer CD/USB system pushing 400 watts thru 4 speakers and a spare tire mounted subwoofer
-----
Under the Hood
The KC is completely stock save for the battery
The Cobra II has a built 1972 302 with 1967 289 heads. It was also bored .30 over and has a mild cam. The exhaust is Hedman Headers exiting a true duel side exit exhausts. I had to add an Aluminum radiator and electric fan to keep it all cool
-----
Suspension
KC is stock
Cobra II has 14" Wheels and 205/60r14 RWL Tires
-----
Wheel and Tires
KC is still wearing it's original lacy spoke aluminum wheels colored to the stripes
