She was still on the lot brand new when the 68's came out. The dealer bought her for his wife. She drove it until 1978, and then left her in the garage. 10 years later a friend of mine was renting that house. He asked about using the garage and was told he could if he just pushed the old car out and left it next to the garage. Once he saw the old Mustang he asked if it was for sale. The guy said "You interested, make me an offer!" He replied "no, not me but a friend might be interested." He called me up and I offerred $525, site unseen, knowing if had been sitting for 10 years. He said "Done!" I towed it home the next day. After an oil change and cleaning of the plugs and points, she started right up. Ran real smooth. The body on the other hand was quite rough.
