Freak'n NASA designed these plastic connections for Ford. They are over engineered & come in 70 different configurations. None of them come apart the way they are designed.

I was going to install this & noticed a Ford free-grazer spider had set up camp. It came apart easily so I made sure it was actually a Ford part.

I have 2 complete interiors. I just can't do brown. I dug this out today, the complete interior w/ rear hatch & trim is pretty heavy. This car must weigh a lot.

No this is not an octopus it's a Ford engineers idea of how to hide a vacuum discrepancy. My other one had a prong missing. That would have been a high idle from god knows where.

Luckily I had the '71 column that goes with the 71 dash. The harnesses didn't match w/ the column 71 - 73.

With a Ford you can't just just swap the dash out from one year to the other ... nah that would be too convenient. The engineers were bored and designed different harnesses w/ different connections for laughs. I dig the optional dash w/ tach and the 3 gauges on the bottom.

I'm not going original brown on brown. I'm goin' Grabber blue on blk. I have two sets of doors, 2 sets of fenders 71 & 73. 2 sets of bumpers n brackets 71 & 73. 2 sets or rear glass, windows trim, interiors, deck lids, side glass etc.

Trying to find all the sheet metal screws.I didn't disassemble this basket case. There's still one single prong connector blue w/ black line behind the gauges not connected. Logic is telling me it may be a ground. I noticed Ford Mustangs esp. 71-73 have very limited wiring diagrams.

The bottom plate needed some attention. Cleaned nice w/ some touch ups. At least the harness matched

Some @sshole Salesman at the Ford dealership conned someone into the ol' undercoating for an extra 200. Let that @sshole come and chisel this crap off.Go figure it was a Texas car.
