Scratched Radio/Sync Screen

Just got my '12 (black)GT yesterday. Originally ordered a 2011 on 10/8, so that's right at 7 months. This morning I pulled off the radio screen plastic protector. There was a little smudge on one side of the screen. I took some Armorall glass cleaner and a soft cloth and wiped the smudge off, when I noticed the screen was all scratched. So, for all you newbies out there, TAKE NOTICE!!!!!!!! DO NOT TOUCH that plastic radio screen - Don't breathe on it - Don't even fart within 4 feet of it, or you'll scratch it! Far as I can tell, there's NO FIX! ****, ****, ****!!!!!!!!!

Simple fix. Little bit of Novus and a new screen protector.

I heard the screen scratched easily. I ordered a screen protector just to be safe.

I am very satisfied with the appearance of my radio screen after applying an iPad screen protector to the lens behind the bezel plate.

I tried several different polishes designed for plastic with no luck. Even the non abrasive ones made the area appear more dull. The solution I came up with was Zagg Invisibleshield. Once applied the scratches are nearly invisible. It has a bit of an orange peel texture. Ghost Armor is flat. Remove the bezel to apply it. Looks OEM. Here you can see the gunk built up around the edges, this is before the shield.

And the OP is right. If you don't have a screen protector DO NOT TOUCH IT! Dust it with compressed air. Same goes for the gauge lenses. I wouldn't use any kind of towel on them.
