ok i finally got my g-tech calibrated correctly, it said i ran a 14.7 1/4 mile at 89.9 mph, 60' time was 2.1, 60 mph was something like 6.9.

comparing this to the time i was really at the track it is very very close to being correct, at the track i ran a 15.8 1/4 mile 60' time was a very bad 3.1 seconds that is because i launched at 3300 rpm and spun tires all the way into third gear. and my run at the track was on a 95 degree night right after driving 1.5 hours to get to the track i did not let my engine cool down. my g-tech run it was like 55 degrees out and my engine had only been running for a few minutes, i didn't launch at a high rpm, i launched at 1300 to 1500 rpm had hardly any tire spin.

if you compare the g-tech run and the track run you will see how close they are. now at first glance they are 1.1 seconds different, but when you factor in the 60' time difference the times get much closer then factor in the cooler temp for the air and the engine. I would say that the g-tech is very darn accurate.

now of course this is all theory, hopfully the weather will be nice this weekend so i can take my g-tech to the track and compare results.

I got one of those. It's a piece of poop. Don't even waste your money. If you really want to try one I'll send you mine for the low, low price of $10+ shipping.

Car And Driver gave the new ones a pretty good review:

i am very impressed by my g-tech and i got it from my svt tech here at work for $100.00, pretty good deal, the whole reason i bought it was really for the shiftlight.

like you scrming i am starting to plan a path to get in to the high 12's,a zex(also considering a venom kit) kit is a christmas present to myself in early november. I really would love to talk to you on the phone about long term durability concerns with the nitrous, i think a 75 shot would be safest but it seem like you are having no problems with a 100 shot.

i have a t-lock, and 3,37's sitting in my apartment, i still need a tune, there is a mustang dyno/tuner about 3 blocks from my apartment so that won't be hard to get done. i need to order the zex kit install it then see what happens.

scrming can you get a part # list for the zex kit, everything that i will need to make it 100% safe. and look as nice as yours (install wise)

I looked at the venom kit too but it seem to be for pre-99 mustangs. In 99 the mustang went to a returnless fuel system. I've been very happy with my choice to go with the Zex. I've probably made 15 passes with the 100HP jets and no signs of any problems yet.

I got my Zex from unlimitedspeed on Ebay. They guys have good prices and they ship FAST! I recommend them:

Base Zex

Here's the Base kit and the "Racer's Tuning Kit"... Everything you need!

Racer's Tuning Kit

For me, I think it will be hard to get in to the 12's with the Nitto 450s... I've got one last chance this weekend... then we're done for the season...
