Trying to improve my launch...
I went down to Mustang Racing Technologies today (www.mrt-direct.com) You know... the guys with the great rear quarter window louvers!!! Anyways, I wanted to replace the flimsy stock rear lower control arms so I went and talked with Scott Hoag... He is a super guy!!!! Was very patient with all my silly questions! We decided to go with a set of BMR adjustable LCAs with the combo ends, rod/poly. Here a couple of pics... I will try to update my website with more info... but for now I just wanted to show you guys some before and after pics... Hoping to give these guys a good workout Saturday!

Awsome. Looks easy to install too. How much did they cost?

I watched them... they made it look easy... but then again the car was up on the hoist...I think in the driveway it would be a lot harder... LOL! And they used an impact wrench to losen up the bolts... And don't forget the big torque wrench to tighten them back up! LOL! For me I was happy to pay them to do it! LOL!

There's a guy around town with one of those "cameleone" (spelling? changes colors as you walk around it) Mustangs... it's over 600 RWHP... it's absolutely amazing...
Hopefully the weather will be nice here Satruday so I can see if these things work as advertised!!!

Your #1 in my book! Keep up the excellent work Scrming! Ford should be mighty proud a guy like you bought into the 05+ V6 scene, and are running with it with over 350FT lbs of torque, and dont seem to be quite satisfied.. LOL!! Your exactly the type of person the board members dreamed about, when they thought to make the 05V6's darn near as good as the GT's.. They pretty much had the do it yourselfer in mind when they made these wonderful machines, and your fitting the image perfectly.. We should all strive to give back as much.. Thank you!

Hope to see you there! It's a great group of people, you'll have a blast. We also have a guy with an 04 Mistichrome cobra in the club. All different/changing colors blue-green-purple including the seats. Way cool car.

Bumping this back up...is there a reason you went with the adjustable? The non-adjustables are about half the price. I was thinking of getting these but I don't imagine I will ever adjust them.

I would say the non-adjust will be just fine... they will be an improvement over the stock ones... but you make notice the car does take the bumps a little harder... I will tell you they completely eliminated any signs of wheel hop i had!

Well... there is a story here... I called MRT. Explained that I was interested in the non-adj. BMR's. MRT says yep, we have a pair in stock... I drive down (1.5 hour away). I get there Scott from MRT pulls out the box marked clearly as NON-ADJ. Open them up and they're the adjustables.. hmmmm... Scott apologizes... But clearly not MRT's fault... Bad label from BMR.. I asked what the benefits of the adjustable... Scott explains about preloading suspension and other more advanced theorys, etc... Ok.. over my head but what the heck.. I splurge and put the adjustables on... Now these are the combo rod/polys... the rod end is a little on the noisey side.... but nothing the stereo doesn't fix! LOL!

I wouldn't think so... I really think it's the rod ends that make the adjustables so noisey... the non-adjustables may squeak more than stock.. the poly end of mine does have a grease fitting...

Ok.. here's a good product pic from the BMR website. The non-adjustables on top clearly show a grease fitting on both ends... so when they start squeaking you grease them... mine are the 3rd one down... If you look at the rod end you can see why they are clunky... LOL!

As far as for a daily driver no real reason to put them in... I had a set of H&R Sport Springs. They dropped the car 7/8 of an inch and really stiffened up the ride nicely... however you really need to get the car aligned after lowering... I only had my springs in for a few months and they were already causing the front tires to wear funny... I loved they way they rode though... however in order to help at the track we put the stock springs back in...
